Leaders' Jog as a moving leadership lab

For a little over a year now, Estonia has been swept up in a jogging wave. Jogging brings together friends of sport and movement, and it has mostly grown through community initiatives tied to specific places - initiatives that have attracted hundreds of people across the country.
Leaders’ Jog was born in much the same way as several other jogging initiatives - during the Sportmoves.me launch event, where we ran through the streets of Ülemiste City. Unlike most community jogs, Leaders’ Jog isn’t tied to one specific area. Instead, once a month we meet in a new location and head out for a shared loop - one where more happens than just moving together. In its own way, Leaders’ Jog is also a community event: it brings together leaders from companies and different fields, and not only them. Everyone is welcome who knows that sport and movement are smart choices for making better decisions, and who believes that mindful physical activity is a natural part of a healthy leadership culture.
Leaders’ Jog is an event where an easy pace clears the mind, movement unlocks strategic thinking, and we explore a chosen leadership topic in a way that simply doesn’t happen in a meeting room.
1. A pace that helps you think, not push. A calm jog creates space for your thoughts to breathe. A heart-rate monitor doesn’t set the tempo here, leaders guide their own attention. This is movement that doesn’t drain energy, rather it gives it back.
2. Conversations that wouldn’t fit into a meeting. Fresh air and steady motion invite a different kind of honesty. A relaxed setting brings out leadership questions that often get stuck behind a desk. This pace and presence create room where answers come more easily, even to the challenges you wrestle with day after day in your team.
3. Movement that opens up strategic thinking. Jogging puts the brain into a state where it works more clearly, without pressure or interruptions. That’s when ideas begin to unfold that might otherwise stall: what truly needs solving, what should be delegated, and what simply needs a different perspective.
The uniqueness of Leaders’ Jog
This isn’t just a community run, it’s a moving leadership lab. Here, we don’t measure kilometers, we measure meaning and substance. The pace is easy, the atmosphere supportive, and the focus is on clarity rather than performance. On every run, we dive into a specific leadership theme, or we welcome an inspiring guest, a leader with a sport-minded edge, to share their experience and spark new ways of thinking.
What makes it truly unique is that:
movement is a tool, not the goal;
the conversations are meaningful, not small talk;
every jog leaves you with a better leadership decision - not just a pleasant way to spend time and a boost in mood (though yes, we’re happy to promise that part too).
Leaders’ Jog is an easy-paced run that helps you lead better (whether that means leading a team, a field, or yourself), not only run better
